We're seeking a visionary Director of Software Engineering to lead the AI transformation of our Life Sciences & Healthcare (LSH) products -- trusted by top global pharma and biotech organizations. This is a rare opportunity to shape the next generation of AI-driven products that to accelerate drug discovery, evaluate treatment effectiveness, model patient journeys, and bring life-saving innovations to market. You'll define the strategy, build the teams, and drive the technology vision that infuses AI and advanced analytics into Clarivate's LSH ecosystem
About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Minimum12 years of experience in software or data analytics engineering leadership roles with a passion for building products, with at least 4 years in people leadership experience.
• Proven success leading AI/ML initiatives and embedding AI capabilities into enterprise products.
• Strong expertise in cloud-native development (AWS, Azure, or GCP), data architecture, data modeling , Analytics and platform engineering.
• Good to have experience in one or more of the following Java, Python, Angular, and microservices architecture.
• Good to have Prior experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS), Docker, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks), and Big Data technologies.
• Prior Experience with Gen AI, LLM's, Agentic AI , MCP will be a big plus
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.

What would you be doing in this role:
AI Transformation & Technical Strategy

• Define and execute the roadmap for AI and ML integration across Clarivate's Life Sciences & Healthcare product portfolio.
• Partner with product, data, and engineering leaders to identify impactful AI opportunities that deliver measurable customer value.
• Build the scalable data and cloud architecture that powers intelligent, data-driven applications.
• Ensure compliance, governance, and security standards are seamlessly embedded in every solution.

Software Delivery & Platform Engineering

• Lead the design and delivery of high-performing, cloud-native software using agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Champion automation, reliability, and performance optimization across engineering teams.
• Ensure robust, secure, and compliant data architecture to enable powerful AI applications.

Innovation & Emerging Tech

• Stay ahead of the curve in AI, generative models, and data analytics -- and bring those innovations to life in production systems.
• Foster a culture of experimentation, empowering teams to test, learn, and iterate quickly.
• Drive R&D initiatives exploring the next frontier of AI in healthcare and life sciences.

Leadership & Team Growth

• Build and mentor a high-impact team of software engineers, ML engineers, Engineering Managers and data architects.
• Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture.
• Lead hiring, performance, and career development to build a lasting foundation of technical excellence.
• This role will report to the Vice President of Product Engineering - Commercial Products

Collaboration & Influence

• Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to align technology vision with business goals.

• Communicate strategic progress and insights across technical and executive audiences.

About the Team
You will be part of LSH Commercial technology product engineering , managing a set of products / portfolio ensuring high quality delivery. This team is spread globally across India and US.
