We are looking for a dynamic leader for our Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) program, who: 1. Has a strong performance track record in leading such programs for global corporations 2. Has experience in partnering with senior business and IT leaders on conducting testing programs at scale and implementing cross-functional solutions to improve the internal control environment 3. Subject Matter Expertise in audits, SOX Compliance testing and US GAAP Compliance 4. Can lead, guide and coach a team of qualified audit professionals to achieve high-performance standards This Bengaluru-based role will start working remotely for now. WHAT YOU'LL DO: As Director- SOX Compliance , this role will be in-charge of the SOX and SSAE 18 programs for the Company. This entails: Leading the SOX Compliance and SSAE 18 testing programs independently Ensuring timely completion of these testing programs per the annual SOX and SSAE 18 plans as per high quality standards Directing the team and conduct control testing of key SOX controls (as needed) especially related to complex US GAAP accounting and reporting requirements Providing quarterly reports to the Audit Committee on the progress of the SOX and SSAE 18 programs Collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders including eternal auditors to support their SOX and SSAE 18 audits Leading and guiding the SOX Compliance team to conduct high quality testing in line with industry standards and as per the project plan Reviewing work done by team members provide timely coaching and feedback on areas of improvement Monitoring changes in COSO framework, PCAOB standards and US GAAP and aligning SOX testing to the revised standards/guidelines Key Result Areas: . Timely completion of the SOX and SSAE 18 programs . Pursue 'zero surprises' as an objective. Ensure comprehensive risk and control coverage through robust testing. Work to identify deficiencies/ exceptions proactively and comprehensively . Ensure the testing results and documentation meet re-performance standards . Focus on continuous improvement in quality of testing, risk and control coverage and team performance with strong focus on training the team on key audit areas. Qualifications: . Education: Certified Public Accountant - CPA (Preferred) or Chartered Accountant - CA Qualifications WHAT ABOUT YOU: Collaborative executive leader with proven ability to challenge the status quo and set best in standard benchmarks 12 to 15 years (post qualification) experience in SOX Compliance and / or Statutory Audits Good understanding of US GAAP, COSO framework, and PCAOB standards Team management experience of at least 10 years Expert knowledge of the SOX process and methodology Proficient in performing data analytics Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient with using various Microsoft products including Excel, Visio, and Word Prior experience in the US real estate or mortgage industries is preferred Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
