Job Description

Director- SAP Solution Delivery
We are seeking a visionary and seasoned Director of SAP Solution Delivery to lead and govern SAP projects and support delivery across our global enterprise. This role will define and enforce delivery standards, ensuring SAP solutions are scoped, planned, resourced, and executed with precision--on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. You will directly lead a significant portion of the SAP team, demonstrate strong people leadership while collaborating with project managers, team leads, and architects to drive multiple concurrent initiatives. You will be also responsible to govern the SAP Day to day support services and SAP development team both managed by a lead reporting into you.
Key responsibilities: Oversee end-to-end SAP project and support delivery and governance of multiple SAP projects/change requests which are in estimation or delivery stage. Continuously improve delivery methodologies, reporting, and quality assurance. Establish governance frameworks aligned with enterprise architecture. Provide People and SAP technology thought leadership to resolve cross-functional solution delivery challenges. Provide leadership on SAP Support and development to maximize value realization from SAP investments and excellent customer satisfaction from stakeholders. Budget responsibilities limited to reporting team and SAP support services.
An ideal candidate will come with 20+ years of SAP delivery and support team leadership experience. Proven track record in managing large-scale, cross-functional SAP initiatives and its interdependence in the organization. Strong leadership in managing resourcing issues and priority conflicts, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Experience building high-performing teams and driving delivery excellence.

AOA- Leadership & ManagementLead and manage a team of 14 experts which includes solution architects, data migration team, SAP Support and Development lead and its team. Lead and manage an external supplier for day-to-day SAP Support services delivery contract Facilitate Scrum of Scrums with all the functional and technical team leaders and key contributors to align priorities and progress. Facilitate team leaders in prioritizing daily product backlogs for project services, balancing delivery commitments and ongoing project impacts. Build, lead, and continuously develop a high-performing, motivated, and adaptable team of SAP experts in close collaboration with functional and technical leads, incorporating regular feedback from other stakeholders and providing strong coaching Educate teams on delivery methodologies, policies, and governance practices.

AOA- Solution Design & Stakeholder Alignment:Partner with SAP team leads and solution architects to define the most viable solutions with right phasing that accelerates business value. Leverage SAP technical expertise, business process knowledge, and project governance skills to shape realistic, well-defined scope and plans. Navigate early-stage ambiguity and align stakeholders through clear communication and structured planning.

AOA- Solution Delivery & GovernanceCollaborate with Business teams, SAP teams and Business Solution Owners to help define project scope, technical solution, phase wise objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Oversee progress of multiple in-flight projects and changes delivery execution, making necessary adjustments to ensure timely and successful delivery. Govern delivery progress, cross initiatives interdependencies and manage the relevant stakeholders in that context Track and govern support services to reduce backlog, enable problem management and ensure strong customer satisfaction

AOA- Technical ExpertiseProvide techno functional leadership with strong background and experience in SAP supply chain and manufacturing domains (SAP S4 PP, PPPI, EWM, IBP, OTC, PTP, Ariba) with right understanding of SAP technical developments possibilities and options to be able to govern SAP projects and support with internal and external teams. Ensure the SAP team leverages all possible SAP technology options to deliver high-quality scalable, maintainable and secure solutions. Continuously evaluate and implement new technology and practices to reduce solution delivery efforts

AOA- Manage Partners / vendorsManage and govern delivery partners and vendors to ensure adherence to agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards. Provide support and guidance to set partners up for success throughout the engagement. Lead contract discussions to define delivery expectations, and help shape commercials to align with project goals, milestones and value outcomes.

Drive operational efficiency by reducing turnaround time and effort through process optimization and automation. Provide technology thought leadership to streamline, eliminate, and automate delivery processes using DevOps practices and use of AI for delivery within SAP teams. Promote application rationalization and innovation to enhance value delivery using SAP products. Implement best practices and structured problem management to continuously improve delivery quality and resilience.

Implement ITIL best practices for application support e.g. customer satisfaction, Critical Incident Management and Problem Management, KEDB, Development standards and naming conventions etc.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
Education Level: Bachelor's degree / master's degree studies
Education Field: IT, Computer Science etc.
Relevant Years of Experience: above 10 years
Management experience: Managed Support Services, Managed SAP Development and Project Teams
IT Software: ECC, S/4HANA strong in one or more of the process areas [OTC, PTP, EWM, TM, RTR, FTP] with cross functional breadth across others, good application understanding of SAP Fiori, SAP CPI, BTP, SAP Solution Manager/CALM, SAP GRC and working knowledge in programming areas of ABAP, JavaScript, VBS, Groovy etc. PMP, ITIL processes, application support best practices and tools like Jira, Azure, MS Power apps, Cherwell etc.
Other qualifications: SAP techno-functional certifications, PMP, Agile/SAFe certifications, ITIL, Six Sigma,
