ABOUT THE POSITION The SAP Director will be responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and management of SAP solutions supporting Fluence's business processes and strategies. You will collaborate closely with other Architects, Development Teams, Business Analysts, and our business partners, to ensure solutions are delivered in a scalable manner and on-time while supporting products that are changing the world. Along with other leads, you will be responsible for technical designs, architecture, and design. A potential candidate needs a strong foundation in software development & integrations, with a background in SAP and related SAP systems along with other enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities Include: oManage Technical architecture analysis, research, design and development of new functionality and integration with key applications and services under SAP ecosystems oParticipate in product roadmap and product strategy definition. oDevelop the design and architecture of integration solutions, including data mapping, transformation, and API management. oCollaborate with multi-functional teams to evaluate business activities, design, and develop solutions to meet the needs. oGuide the engineering team to develop, configure and implement the solution as per the product development standards to meet business requirements oMonitor the work of the technical team and ensure standards are adhered to in accordance with SAP's Solution Extensions oMonitor compliance and related guidance (such as data retention and audit requirements) to determine impact on enterprise architecture; oMonitor emerging industry standards to determine impact on enterprise architecture; oMonitor regulatory guidelines (such as consumer privacy issues) to determine impact on enterprise architecture; oWork with and advise the QA team on the design of test plans, test cases and on automation oHelp and review with the creation of training, product, and solution documentation oPerforming integration architecture and infrastructure design activities oParticipate in resolving technology integration problems oDefine the overall integration strategy and roadmap for connecting SAP systems with external applications, data sources, and platforms. oProvide training to internal teams on using and maintaining integration solutions. oSupporting help desk and business on various technical issues. oCommunicate sophisticated technical solutions into simple conclusions. What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence? oExperience designing and implementing Solution Architecture practices; oStrong SAP Functional knowledge or SAP Basis background; oAbility to analyze project, program and portfolio needs; oAbility to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence; oImplementation, upgrade and support of the latest SAP systems versions, oDeep understanding of Application development and application life cycle management; oKnowledge of project planning and management, including scope, time and resource management; oGood understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud technologies; o8+ years' work experience in SAP product consulting, systems integration, or architect role. o5+ years Integration Engineering Architecture experience in large Enterprises with technologies such as SAP PI/PO, SAP Integration Suite, BOOMI, MuleSoft, Workato o7+ years of experience with multiple SAP technologies (i.e. S/4HANA, ABAP, IDOC, BAPI, Data Integration / Migration, Business Technology Platform) o5+ years of software development experience in major software development languages /platforms (JAVA/.net/Python) oGood understanding of SAP best practices oMust have excellent expertise in ABAP development with very good understanding of SAP modules such as Finance, MM, PP, QM, SD, PLM, and APO. oMust have extensive development experience using ABAP objects, HANA SQL Programming, SAP Fiori Developments, OData developments. oDemonstrated knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) based design & development and ABAP Restful Programming Model oExperience working with interfaces in addition to Web Services, such as Java connectors and Rest APIs communicating with non-SAP applications. oExperience with SAP security concepts and must have implemented authorization checks in ABAP objects. oExperience in working with SAP Cloud technologies like SAC and other SAP Cloud technologies. oComfortable conducting solution demos and presentations to customers/business stake holders/architects. oExposure to compliance regulations like GDPR, ITAR and Export Compliance is a plus. oAble to report both verbally and in writing to executive level. oExperience in Cloud native integration in Azure, Google Cloud, AWS oExperience with EDI-B2B communication: SAP B2B Add-on, SPS, Trading Partner Management, Integration Advisor and EDI Message Tracking oExperience with data integration: SAP Data Intelligence, Data Services or SAP SLT oExposure to modern integration architecture including Kubernetes, Microservices and service mesh. oBachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems). oExperience working in Agile & Waterfall environments oUnderstanding of Software development lifecycle (SDLC) oAbility to affect positive change, empower people, cultivate product technology visions and innovative solutions. oWorking knowledge of master data management oExperience with CI / CD
