Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
Revenue Accounting and Analysis:
. Manage the close processes for the Company's revenue accounting systems, including resolution of errors and reconciliation of account balances.
. Collaborate with the Revenue Recognition team to ensure accurate and timely revenue accounting in accordance with GAAP and ASC 606 and corporate close deadlines.
. Implement and maintain comprehensive revenue policies and procedures.
. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and deferred revenue information, including analysis of both balance sheet and income statement results compared to forecasts and historical actual results.
. Ensure accurate and timely reporting to internal stakeholders and external auditors.
Leadership and Management:
. Lead and mentor the revenue accounting team to achieve high performance and professional growth.
. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
. Develop and deliver training programs for team members and other departments on revenue processes, systems innovations, and other relevant topics.
Process Improvement:
. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies within the revenue accounting operations.
. Lead initiatives to streamline workflows and automate processes where possible.
To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, and revenue recognition principles.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.

• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; Zuora Rev Pro and Tableau knowledge is a plus.

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 6,304,000 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
