Roles and Responsibility
Role Description:

  • Develop market leading payment technology product proposition across remittances, mobile/wallets and emerging payment channels and ensuring effective deployment across the SCB network.
  • Lead new product development, enhancement of existing products/features and product management for payments in line with the overall group retail deposit products & segment strategy.
  • Lead business requirements for system development & implementation
  • Lead payment standardization for retail payments globally
  • Monetize capabilities and develop analytics to track performance
  • Responsible for program management of the Payment Tribe, including adherence to the Agile framework and NWoW (New Ways of Working) principles.
  • Ensure compliance of the various projects under Payment platform Tribe\xe2\x80\x99s program management processes governance and standard, and be the point person for any information related to the projects under the program.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build standard best-in-class Payment proposition for SCB Retail Banking through:
  • Develop competitive P2P domestic and international remittance solutions, wallet integrations, ecom authentication solution \xe2\x80\x93 Look at leveraging new age technology solutions
  • Partner card schemes including incentive deals, 3rd party vendors to deliver superior payments capabilities (Manage Visa/Master/UPI for payments, Apple, Google, Samsung, fintechs etc.)
  • Manage payment product launch from conceptualization to full commercial implementation. Proactively connect with partners & industry experts to gauge the trend and create proposals to adopting new tech and tie up with new partners to launch leading payment products.
  • Define system requirements for new products/features/CVPs and work with Technology to ensure that the same is built once as a standard and implemented globally.
  • Ensure effective rollout of capabilities across markets by working with geographic multifunctional teams
  • Monetize capabilities and develop analytics to track performance
  • Closely work with countries to understand the new developments in the market including regulatory changes and continuously review the global product standard to ensure that new developments, changes including best practices are embedded into the global product standard and made available to all relevant countries globally.
Tribe governance
  • Institute the required processes to ensure that the tribe functions in line with the NWoW (New Ways of Working) principles and policies
  • Ensure / assist in timely arrangement of tribe forums and ceremonies \xe2\x80\x93 Big room planning, refinement forum, etc. as per governance requirements
Tracking and reporting
  • Assist the tribe lead in providing regular updates to various governance forums (QPR, MPR, etc.) using Clarity and other data available
  • Work with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure there is a regular reporting mechanism for the tribe backlog for onward communication as appropriate
  • Ensuring that all submissions to committees are of the right quality and are timely.
  • Communicate the required reporting and tracking requirements to Product Owners and Scrum Masters in terms of Clarity / Jira updates.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Payments experience in one or more of following: remittance, local payments, wallets, card on file, eCom authentication
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in a financial institution, preferably in Retail Clients / Retail Product Management, Digital banking with a strong understanding of product design, systems, technology and financials drivers.
  • Understanding of and delivery under Agile framework
  • Strong financial management capabilities: budget tracking, planning, forecast and variance explanations
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills: networking, negotiation and influencing
  • Positive attitude with the capability to work under pressure and deliver on multiple deadlines
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills

  • Scrum Master (SM) certified and/or PMP (Project Management Professionals)
