Summary



As the P&O Reporting & Analytics Product Owner, the role is crucial in driving the success of the analytics & reporting strategy within P&O, in collaboration -within PTDI and wider P&O teams. The candidate is responsible for ensuring that the products and services provided meet the needs of P&O and its stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be working with different teams in P&O to understand key questions they are trying to answer and translating these into actionable KPIs & reporting systems. Collaborating across PTDI & enterprise teams to ensure P&O reporting l& analytics are built within enterprise tools is critical for this role. The scope covers all P&O processes, dashboards/reporting ( internal & externa) & visualisation, analytics and reporting systems.

About the Role



Major accountabilities:



P&O Analytics Strategy:



Define and communicate a clear vision for the analytics & reporting products and services, aligning with the overall P& O goals and objectives.


Identify services / offerings that could be automated or productized and applied across multiple functions given repeated use by stakeholders


Translate insights & research findings into actionable recommendations, communicate through regular interaction the team.

Requirements Gathering:



Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their analytics needs and translate them into actionable requirements ensuring there are clear analytical definitions & reporting KPIs. Lead on advanced analytical requirements and potential technical solutions.

Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. Automate data extraction, transformation, and processes to streamline reporting. Collaborate with various COEs to understand their reporting needs and provide customized solutions.

Roadmap Planning:



Develop & maintain a roadmap that outlines the strategic direction and priorities for the analytics products and services. Monitor progress against the roadmap and adjust priorities as needed.

Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reports and dashboards. Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.

Backlog Management:



Prioritise and manage the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the highest value items and is continuously updated based on changing business needs.

Glossary of Metrics:



Work with P&O stakeholders to document HR Metric definitions / calculations. Ensure these definitions are being used across P&O and the wider business.

Dashboards:



Define the strategy for dashboards (across systems), ensuring common definitions are being utilized and that there is consistent design.



Cross-functional Collaboration:



Work closely with Client partners, People Insights, data science, AI and other teams in PTDI/P&O to ensure successful delivery of analytics projects

Product Development:



Oversee the development of new products and solutions, ensuring that they meet the defined requirements and are of high quality. Ensure P&O analytics are being consumed from optimal data sources.



User Adoption and Engagement:



Drive user adoption of analytics products by conducting training sessions, providing support, and gathering feedback to continuously improve the user experience


Provide to end-users on how to use the dashboards and reports effectively.

Performance Measurement:



Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the impact of reports/dashboards, analytics products on teams in P&O and business

People and organizational leadership

Engage, develop, and grow talent with right skills for the right roles through targeted skilling Proactively assess the overall evolving P&O/business need and capabilities Execute strategies to retain top talent and ensure attrition is within the Novartis retention targets Promote culture of inspired, curious, unbossed and integrity to further strengthen engagement of our associates Diversity & Inclusion: ensure the D&I of the team is maintained as per the Novartis D&I target Coach/mentor all team members, create training plan and track progress

Minimum Requirements:



Work Experience:



10+ years in Analytics in P&O/Pharma Commercial/Consulting/relevant areas, preferably with experience building teams and P&L accountability. 3+ years' experience in people management Ability and expertise in engaging senior leaders and influencing strategic decision-making. Proven ability to work in a matrix and geographically dispersed environment with problem-solving skills utilized to identify customer issues and deliver solutions. Good understanding of pharmaceutical company functioning, desirable but not mandatory Required: experience in remote relationships (on-shore/off-shore capability delivery)
