Based in Bangalore, India and reporting to the Vice President of Workplace Experience, The Director of Workplace Experience - India, will have responsibility for overseeing our 5.7-hectare campus, as well as executing a cost-effective and sustainable hybrid workplace strategy across the country. Transformation will not be limited to physical real estate. The role technology plays in global connection and collaboration will also need to be taken into consideration as NetApp's flexible work model evolves.

The ideal candidate is innovative, collaborative and agile. Strong communication skills are paramount. Partnering with and engaging leadership, HR & IT, your peers on WX, other corporate functions, as well as large-scale vendors and preferred suppliers will be key to effectively meeting the workplace requirements as defined by the company strategy.

As a WX leader, you will manage a local team of passionate and empathetic professionals, consisting of both employees, contractors, and vendors. The right person will leverage that experience and knowledge to elevate our spaces and services. They will be guided by our values and create engaging and productive workplace experiences that inspire employees to do their best of their lives, whether working onsite or remotely.

Job Requirements

  • Oversee workplace real estate and operations for India, ensuring successful day-to-day operations and best-in-class customer service.
  • Manage and track fiscal responsibilities - including developing operating budgets and capital planning, facilities, and employee services spending across regions, and provide regular and timely reporting to company leadership, accounting and financial planning analysis teams.
  • Partner with IT, HR, Thrive Everywhere, and other stakeholders to develop and support initiatives, processes, tools, and policies that align with our flexible work culture.
  • Build relationships with local site leads and employees to help inform decision making. Navigate diverse cultural and regional differences in communications, business engagement, and design recommendations across the organization to develop effective workplace change management and communications.
  • Define amenities and workplace services that must be implemented at our sites to differentiate NetApp in the workplace and to provide best in class experience for our employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Engage with executives and local site leaders across the business to gather input and to present experience enhancement opportunities. Use data to understand the habits and needs of employees and objectively provide recommendations for workplace improvements.
  • Seek and analyze market research to understand benchmarking data.
  • Oversee the performance of team members, provide guidance and define career development opportunities.
Education
  • 10 years of experience with managing an owned campus with are strong focus on construction, lab and building management.
  • Strong financial reporting and budgeting background and understanding of leases, vendor service agreements, data governance, design, planning and construction.
  • Ability to leverage KPIs, SLAs and measuring metrics to produce results.
  • Familiarity with different regional and cultural practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of changes and trends in office space utilization, including floor densification, alternative furniture concepts, space sharing, and alternative workplace strategies for a hybrid workforce.
  • Passion for best-in-class solutions and customer service.
  • Strong communication and change management skills. Demonstrated success building strong relationships cross-functionally.
  • Engaging leader, mentor, and coach with a proven ability to attract and recruit top talent, celebrate diversity within the team, and develop others
  • Awesome can-do attitude - no task is too big or small.
  • Ability to travel internationally, around 25% of the time
