We are seeking an accomplished Director of Quality Assurance to lead and scale quality initiatives across complex storage, flash, and infrastructure platforms. This senior leadership role is responsible for defining the QA vision, driving quality strategy, and ensuring world-class reliability, performance, and scalability of enterprise-grade systems. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, a strong QA mindset, and extensive experience leading large, high-performing QA organizations.
As a key stakeholder, the Director of QA will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Architecture, and Customer Success teams to embed quality across the entire product lifecycle-from design and development to deployment and post-production.

Key Responsibilities
QA Strategy & Leadership

• Define and execute the overall Quality Assurance strategy aligned with business and product goals.
• Build, mentor, and lead large, globally distributed QA teams, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Establish QA governance, best practices, and metrics to ensure consistent quality across programs.

Domain Expertise: Storage, Flash & Infrastructure

• Oversee QA for storage systems, including block, file, and object storage solutions.
• Ensure robust testing of flash-based technologies, SSDs, NVMe, performance tuning, endurance, and reliability.
• Drive quality validation for infrastructure components, including distributed systems, networking, virtualization, and cloud/on-prem environments.

Test Architecture & Execution

• Define test strategies covering functional, integration, system, performance, scalability, stress, endurance, and fault-injection testing.
• Champion automation-first QA, including frameworks for system-level, regression, and performance testing.
• Ensure validation of high-availability, disaster recovery, and data integrity scenarios.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams early in the design phase to influence testability and quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product Management to align release criteria, risk assessment, and go/no-go decisions.
• Act as the final quality authority for major releases and customer-facing deployments.

Operational Excellence & Customer Impact

• Analyze production issues, drive root cause analysis, and implement preventive quality improvements.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, SLAs, and customer expectations for mission-critical systems.
• Represent QA leadership in executive reviews and customer escalations.

Required Skills & Experience

• 15-30 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with significant leadership experience at Director or Senior Director level.
• Deep hands-on and strategic expertise in storage systems, flash technologies, and infrastructure platforms.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, hardware-software integration, and system-level QA.
• Proven experience building and scaling QA organizations in enterprise or product-based environments.
• Expertise in test automation, performance benchmarking, and reliability engineering.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
