Role: Director of Finance and Compliance, Delhi
Experience: 8-12 years
Salary: Upto 14 LPA
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management

• Implement the annual financial system to meet statutory compliances, budgeting, and accounting needs.

• Communicate with donors and oversee financial due diligence and reporting requirements.

• Effectively manage funds to maximize yield while ensuring availability for expenses.

Due Diligence & Grant Accounting

• Coordinate with the Finance Manager to ensure donor compliances and external audits are completed.

• Finalize accounts, including reviewing budgets and expenditures.

• Ensure timely submission of donor reporting requirements.

• Support ongoing due diligence for current and new donors as needed, including addressing queries and supporting audits.

Statutory Compliances & Tax Returns

• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and prepare for financial audits.

• Prepare tax reports and applications as needed.

• Ensure timely filing of statutory returns such as TDS returns.

• Oversee and coordinate all relevant regulatory statutory compliances, including Gratuity, Provident Fund, and TDS deposits.

Budgeting, Monitoring, and Reporting

• Review financial statements on a monthly and quarterly basis.

• Lead the annual budget development process, monitor expenditures, and update income and expense projections.

• Review and make recommendations on plans for capital expenditures.

• Control and advise on the utilization of funds according to guidelines.

• Prepare and file funder expenditure reports for the financial year.

Financial Systems and Board Interactions

• Prepare and share quarterly cash flow sheets in a timely manner.

• Support the Finance Manager with accounting and process flows.

Leadership and Reporting:
This role reports to the Executive Director, Youth Leadership and Community Engagement. You will work closely with a team of directors, managers, staff, and volunteers, as well as teams across grantee partner organizations. Your supervisor and the Executive Director will review your engagement at the end of the probationary period.
