THE ROLE You will lead the engineering center's mission to drive the strategic development and high-impact delivery of Pure's flagship FlashArray platform in the Bangalore R&D center. This dynamic role demands a leader who can scale engineering impact, foster deep ownership, and cultivate technical excellence across multiple teams. You will partner directly with global FlashArray Engineering and Product Management leadership to define and execute the product roadmap, ensuring technical strategy aligns with ambitious business goals and market innovation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Architect and scale a world-class R&D organization, coaching and mentoring multiple engineering managers and technical leaders to deliver core product features that drive the success of the FlashArray platform.
Define, own, and lead the technical strategy and product roadmap for FlashArray projects, ensuring critical balance between short-term product delivery priorities and long-term technological invention.
Drive successful product realization by partnering with global Product Management to translate strategic business initiatives into shippable, leading-edge storage solutions that delight our enterprise customers.
Champion system-level ownership, ensuring the successful design and delivery of end-to-end products throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and embedding active customer feedback loops into the development process.
Solve critical scaling challenges within the team and product, implementing organizational structure and technical improvements that support explosive business growth.
WHAT YOU BRING
Demonstrated ability to successfully grow and lead large, multi-team engineering organizations, including direct experience managing second- or third-level technical leaders and managers.
Deep technical mastery of system software development, including extensive hands-on experience in languages like C/C++ and core concepts related to storage, networking, or database systems.
Proven expertise in managing the full product lifecycle (SDLC) within an Agile (Scrum) environment, ensuring complex products are delivered to market on schedule and utilizing strong knowledge of quality best practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Exceptional strategic and analytical skills with a strong customer focus, enabling effective management of multiple concurrent projects and critical problem-solving under pressure.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore, India office in compliance with Pure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
