We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Engineering / Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving engineering excellence, shaping our technical roadmaps, and leading high-performing teams to deliver innovative software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

In this role your key tasks will include:

Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of applications across various platforms. Set engineering standards and best practices, ensuring compliance across all projects. Collaborate with product management, stakeholders, and other teams to align engineering efforts with business goals. Actively participate in architecture and design reviews, providing guidance on technical decisions. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team. Mentor and train team members, enhancing their skills and performance through coaching. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains across engineering operations. Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources effectively to meet project milestones. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact on engineering practices at Allucent.

Requirements

To be successful you should possess:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; a master's degree is preferred. 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong experience in developing scalable and maintainable software applications. Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET). Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, particularly Agile. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. A track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams and complex projects. Experience in the biopharmaceutical or healthcare domain is a plus.
