Director - MBA
to independently lead and transform the MBA vertical.
Role Overview
The
Director - MBA Program
will function as the
chief academic and administrative authority
for the MBA program at HIMS, operating
independently of the Principal
. The role carries
complete responsibility
for academics, faculty leadership, administration, regulatory compliance, affiliations, student performance, and program outcomes.
This is a
strategic leadership role
with direct access to Management and clear decision-making authority.

The Director - MBA shall have

Faculty Performance & Development
Regulatory & University Affiliations
Student Outcomes & Quality Assurance
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership
Design, implement, and continuously improve the
MBA academic framework
.
Ensure effective curriculum delivery aligned with
industry, university, and accreditation requirements
.
Introduce value-added programs, certifications, case-based learning, and experiential pedagogy.
Monitor academic quality, learning outcomes, and student performance.
Faculty Leadership & Governance
Lead, mentor, and evaluate MBA faculty members.
Ensure faculty accountability, teaching quality, research output, and student engagement.
Recommend faculty recruitment, training, appraisals, and disciplinary actions to Management.
Establish a strong academic culture driven by performance and integrity.
Administration & Operations
Oversee all
administrative functions
related to the MBA program.
Ensure smooth conduct of admissions coordination, academic scheduling, examinations, and evaluations.
Maintain discipline, attendance standards, and institutional policies within the MBA program.
Coordinate with internal departments (Accounts, HR, Admissions, Placements) for MBA-related matters.
Affiliations, Compliance & Accreditation
Act as the
single point of responsibility
for:
University affiliations
Regulatory compliance
Academic audits and inspections
Ensure timely submission of reports, data, and compliance documents.
Maintain readiness for NAAC, NBA, and other quality assurance frameworks (as applicable).
Admissions, Branding & Growth
Work closely with the admissions and marketing teams to support
MBA admissions growth
.
Contribute to branding initiatives, outreach programs, corporate connect, and academic visibility.
Strengthen alumni engagement and industry interaction.
Reporting & Accountability
Report directly to Management with clear performance metrics.
Submit periodic academic, administrative, and compliance reports.
Take complete ownership of successes and shortcomings of the MBA program.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Ph.D. preferred (MBA / Management / Allied disciplines).
Postgraduate qualification in Management (MBA or equivalent is mandatory).
15+ years of experience
in management education, with
significant leadership exposure
.
Prior experience as Director / Dean / Head of MBA Program is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of
university systems, affiliations, and regulatory frameworks
.
Proven ability to independently lead academic institutions or verticals.
