A Machine Learning Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models that are embedded in data-driven products and services for the clients in the MENA region. The ML engineer involved in the entire lifecycle of machine learning model development, which includes understanding business requirements, designing the model, gathering and preprocessing data, training and tuning the model, and deploying the model into production

Principal Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models based on business requirements.
• Research and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools. Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks
• Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• Training machine learning models and tuning their hyperparameters for optimal performance.
• Evaluating the performance of machine learning models and making necessary adjustments.
• Testing, deploying and tracking machine learning models into production environments.
• Collaborating with data engineers to collect, clean, and preprocess data
• Collaborating with data scientists and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop appropriate machine learning solutions.
• Writing robust and efficient code to implement machine learning algorithms.
• Documenting machine learning processes and procedures for future reference.
• Debugging and resolving issues related to machine learning models and their implementation.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• A Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, R, or Java.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
• Knowledge of SQL and experience with big data platforms like Hadoop or Spark.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Dev Ops and CI/CD experience
• Strong understanding of statistics and machine learning algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
