Job Description

Key Responsibilities



1. Academic Leadership



Provide vision and direction for curriculum, pedagogy, and program development across Law and Liberal Arts. Ensure compliance with

Bar Council of India (BCI)

,

UGC

, and NAAC standards. Lead syllabus design for BA-LLB, BBA-LLB, LLB, LLM, BA Liberal Arts, BSc Liberal Studies, and interdisciplinary programs. Promote outcome-based education, experiential learning, and modern teaching methodologies.

2. Faculty Leadership & Management



Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty members. Facilitate faculty development programs, research support, and academic performance reviews. Build an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative academic culture.

3. Research & Innovation



Promote high-impact research, publications, and funded projects. Establish research centers in emerging areas such as legal tech, public policy, social sciences, and humanities. Foster interdisciplinary projects between law, liberal arts, business, and technology.

4. Student Development & Engagement



Improve academic advising, mentoring, internships, legal clinics, moot courts, writing labs, and research mentorship. Strengthen placement pathways for law firms, corporate houses, NGOs, think tanks, government bodies, and international organizations. Design enrichment programs--guest lectures, workshops, global seminars, and study-abroad tie-ups.

5. Industry & Global Partnerships



Build strong relations with

law firms, judiciary, corporates, NGOs, think tanks, international universities

, and professional bodies. Develop internship pipelines, live projects, and international academic collaborations. Represent the university in national and international forums.

6. Administrative & Operational Oversight



Oversee academic planning, timetables, teaching loads, budgets, and policy implementation. Ensure smooth operations of law clinics, liberal arts centers, student societies, and academic committees. Lead accreditation and compliance documentation (BCI, UGC, NAAC).

7. Strategic Planning



Develop long-term growth strategies for both schools. Introduce new programs based on market trends--Legal Tech, Cyber Law, Forensic Studies, Public Policy, International Relations, Psychology, Digital Humanities, etc. Lead branding, admissions outreach, and institutional visibility initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience



PhD in Law / Liberal Arts / Social Sciences

from a reputed university. Minimum

12-15 years

of academic experience with at least

5 years in leadership roles

(Dean, Director, Professor, Head of Department). Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (BCI, UGC). Proven record of research, publications, and academic administration. Experience in industry partnerships, curriculum design, and faculty leadership. Excellent communication, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills.
