Role Purpose:
This leadership role within the Coats Global Supply Chain organization is responsible for transforming global supply chain planning by developing and executing a strategic roadmap that modernizes demand and supply planning, S&OP, and digital tools. It combines oversight of business-as-usual (BAU) planning excellence with leadership of transformation initiatives that leverage AI and advanced technologies to enhance operational agility, efficiency, and future readiness.
The role plays a critical part in delivering business growth and customer value through robust planning and execution. It also involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, streamline processes, and implement scalable solutions aligned with Coats' long-term strategic goals.
Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities:
Strategy & Transformation Leadership
Develop and execute a multi-year transformation roadmap for supply chain planning.
Lead cross-functional initiatives to redesign planning processes and implement advanced planning systems (including ERP changes, enhancements, etc that are linked to Planning).
Drive change management and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful adoption
Planning Process Excellence
Oversee the design and implementation of best-in-class demand, supply, and inventory planning processes.
Work with the central planning teams to make the global S&OP/IBP processes more consistent, robust and repeatable; delivering alignment with commercial, financial, and operational goals.
Technology & Data Enablement (projects, along with Digital & Technology)
Partner with D&T and external vendors to implement and optimize digital planning tools.
Increase internal capability for simulations, optimization techniques and scenario planning in supply chain planning and execution.
Ensure data integrity, governance, and analytics capabilities to support planning decisions.
Drive automation and AI/ML adoption in planning processes.
Re-engineer/ Automate key planning processes and steps using AI (Traditional/ Agentic AI)
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Support in the development of the capability of the central planning and local execution teams.
Develop/ Drive training programs and career paths for planning professionals.
Documentation of standard SOPs in Planning.
Performance Management & Reporting
Define and track KPIs to measure planning effectiveness and transformation progress.
Provide analytical support for executive decision-making and performance reviews.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting across planning functions.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:
Essential: -
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, or Business
15+ years in supply chain with 5+ years in planning transformation
Deep expertise in supply chain planning concepts on an end-to-end basis, working methodologies, S&OP/ IBP
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in planning tools (SAP IBP, Kinaxis, o9, etc.)
Expert level understanding of ERP
Desirable: -
MBA or master's in supply chain
Experience in global matrixed organizations
Certifications: APICS CPIM, CSCP, PMP
Experience with AI/ML in planning
Track record of successful transformation delivery
