Position Overview:
The Director - HR is responsible for developing and executing the institution's
human resource strategy in support of its mission, vision, and long-term goals. This
includes overseeing talent acquisition, faculty & staff development, performance
management, compensation & benefits, employee engagement, compliance, and
organizational culture. The role requires strategic leadership to align HR practices
with academic excellence and institutional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership
? Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the institution's objectives.
? Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce planning, talent
development, and succession planning.
? Build a positive and inclusive organizational culture that supports academic
and operational excellence.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
? Lead faculty and staff recruitment to attract top talent.
? Design and implement structured selection, onboarding, and induction
programs.
? Collaborate with academic leadership to ensure workforce planning meets
curriculum and research needs.
Employee Relations & Engagement
? Foster a collaborative and transparent work environment.
? Address employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
fairly and legally.
? Drive employee engagement initiatives to enhance retention and satisfaction.
Learning & Development
? Create and implement faculty development programs and staff training
workshops.
? Promote leadership development and career progression pathways.
? Oversee compliance with continuous professional development requirements
for educators.
Performance Management
? Establish clear performance appraisal systems for faculty and staff.
? Ensure fairness, objectivity, and linkage to institutional KPIs.
? Drive a culture of accountability and high performance.
Compensation & Benefits
? Design competitive salary structures and benefits packages.
? Ensure statutory compliance with labor laws, PF, ESI, gratuity, and other
regulations.
? Recommend performance-linked incentive programs.
Compliance & Policies
? Develop and maintain HR policies, code of conduct, and institutional
guidelines.
? Ensure compliance with UGC/AICTE norms, state and central labor laws, and
accreditation requirements.
? Maintain confidentiality of employee records and data security.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)
? Promote diversity in hiring and inclusive workplace practices.
? Conduct sensitization and awareness programs to ensure a safe and
respectful environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
? Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (MBA/PGDM
preferred).
? 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership
role (preferably in higher education or service sector).
? Deep understanding of Indian labor laws, education sector regulations, and
HR best practices.
? Experience managing HR for a multi-campus institution (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
