Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Warehousing and Reporting Engineering Lead to drive our data and reporting strategy, supporting key business areas including Finance, Compliance, Anti-Financial Crime, Risk, and Legal. This leadership role will require deep technical expertise in modern data warehousing platforms, data modeling, and the creation of scalable data marts to provide insights for internal partners.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement the data warehousing and reporting strategy to support Finance, Compliance, Anti-Financial Crime, Risk, and Legal teams.
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data warehousing solutions using platforms such as Snowflake, Teradata, Hadoop, or equivalent technologies.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand their data and reporting needs and curate data marts tailored to their requirements.
Develop and optimize data models to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval, enabling high-quality business intelligence and reporting.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all data repositories and reporting systems.
Lead team members, providing technical mentorship and encouraging a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Stay ahead of industry trends and new technologies in data warehousing and analytics to continuously improve our capabilities.
Qualifications
Background in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Extensive engineering experience with data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake, Teradata, Hadoop, or similar technologies.
Proven expertise in data modeling, communicating data, and curating data marts to support business functions.
Solid understanding of relational and non-relational database systems.
Experience with data integration tools, ETL processes, and pipeline development.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to design scalable and efficient solutions.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring high-performing technical teams.
Effective interpersonal skills to work with technical and non-technical partners alike.
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting Finance, Compliance, Anti-Financial Crime, Risk, and Legal data strategies.
A background in working with large-scale enterprise data ecosystems.
Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing environments and tools.
Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
