Role overview



We are seeking an experienced

Director

to lead and manage

U.S. federal and international tax compliance

engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to deliver high-quality tax solutions while mentoring teams and partnering with clients.



Key Responsibilities


Tax Compliance & Review




Lead and oversee U.S. federal corporate and partnership tax compliance, including review and sign-off of complex tax returns. (About 85%-90% of the clients are C-Corporation clients). Manage international tax compliance and reporting, including GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits, BEAT (as applicable), and related disclosures. Review and advise on preparation of international information returns (Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8938, 1116, etc.). Oversee the preparation and review of complex Form 1065 / 1120-S and related Schedule K-1s, Form 1040, and state filings (10%-15% clients are Pass-through entity and HNI clients).

Tax Advisory & Planning




Provide technical guidance on cross-border transactions, inbound and outbound structures, and global tax reporting. Monitor and interpret changes in U.S. and international tax laws, assessing impact and advising clients accordingly.

Client Relationship Management




Act as a primary point of contact for clients; proactively identify planning opportunities and manage deadlines. Maintain excellent relationships with clients, ensuring responsiveness and high-quality service.

Team Leadership & Development




Supervise and mentor staff and managers; provide technical training and performance feedback. Collaborate with partners to manage workflow and develop junior talent.

Practice Development




Support business development initiatives by participating in client pitches, preparing proposals, and identifying cross-selling opportunities. Stay abreast of current tax developments and share relevant updates internally and with clients.
Qualifications & Experience


Minimum 10 years of U.S. public accounting or tax advisory experience focused on C-Corporations and International Tax compliances. Working knowledge of Pass-through entities and Individual taxes. Prior experience in a Big 4 or national accounting/consulting firm preferred. Strong technical skills in C-Corporations federal and international tax. Proficient knowledge of automated tax processing systems and Microsoft Office tools, including hands-on experience with advanced Excel features, Thomson Reuters Gosystems and tax research applications. Excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership ability. Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex information. Demonstrate problem solving ability along with attention to detail and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously.
