We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Engineering Group Leader to lead our Client Entitlement & Authentication capability within the Digital Channels Platform. This role is in Pune or Chennai.



In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:



The Client Entitlement & Authentication group seeks to increase the speed and accuracy of provisioning ; reduce the number of locations provisioning occurs, accelerate the time from onboarding to provisioning via self-service and offer a menu of flexible authentication options to users and clients In this role,


This role requires a visionary leader who can build and manage high-performing teams, drive innovation, and deliver technology solutions that enhance business outcomes. Lead and manage global development teams, ensuring appropriate design, technical capabilities, and resource allocation to meet strategic objectives. Champion change management initiatives, encouraging innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement in technology solutions. Drive quality and adherence to best practice in the end-to-end design and implementation of systems and processes. Collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders, as well as clients, to develop solutions that drive revenue, client satisfaction, and efficiency. Develop and execute group-wide business plans and participate in firm-wide initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Lead risk identification and mitigation efforts, handling escalations effectively. Drive recruitment, development, and retention of diverse talent, fostering an inclusive culture that supports professional growth and wellbeing. Manage operating budgets, forecast resource needs, and ensure financial discipline within the approved plans. Motivate and mentor team members to maximize their contributions and support their career development.




To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:


Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required. 15+ years of experience in systems analysis, program development, and technology leadership. Minimum of 6-8 years managing development project teams, preferably in complex, global environments. Demonstrated capability working with the training and deployment of AI agents Ability to operate in and influence a federated ecosystem of design, product and engineering teams Experience architecting large scale portal experiences including data architecture, API design and entitlement management Core Java, JAVA 11 and above Object Oriented Programming concepts, Spring, Spring boot, hibernate, RDBMS (Oracle), SQL, Gitlab, Docker, CI/CD, S3, Understanding of JVM, memory usage, performance testing and tuning. Understand nuances of architecture, Familiarity with different design and architectural patterns. Understand microservices based, scalable architecture (previous experience working with Kafka). Hands-on experience with micro-frontend architecture and frameworks like Angular. Design, implement and maintain Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency. Experience implementing caching (using Hazelcast/ ehcache / Memcached/others). Skill for writing reusable Java libraries Basic Understanding of the concepts of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Pattern, JDBC (Java Database Connectivity), and RESTful web services Proven ability to lead large-scale technology projects and deliver results on time and within budget. Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated commitment to agile and inclusive engineering culture. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Experience in financial services or related industries is a plus.
