Drive innovation in product development, design processes, and technology adoption.
Lead strategic planning for new products, upgrades, and platform developments.
Engineering & Design Oversight:
Oversee mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems design teams.
Ensure high-quality engineering deliverables -- from concept to production.
Implement design reviews, DFMEA, prototyping, and testing protocols.
Project Management:
Lead cross-functional product development projects from inception to launch.
Ensure engineering timelines, cost, and quality targets are met.
Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and marketing teams for product readiness.
Talent & Team Management:
Build and mentor a high-performing engineering and design team.
Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
Identify skills gaps and implement training, hiring, or restructuring strategies.
Process & Quality Improvement:
Optimize engineering workflows using tools like CAD, PLM, and simulation software.
Enforce compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and safety regulations.
Drive continuous improvement in design validation, documentation, and BOM management.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to capture design requirements and address field issues from the Engineering/Design perspective.
Present engineering updates, risk assessments, and project status to senior leadership
Support business development with technical inputs and customer presentations
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong technical expertise in product development, mechanical/electrical/embedded design in HVAC/Refrigeration/Airport or Aircraft related systems.
Leadership in managing multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
Proficient in CAD/CAE/PLM tools and product development lifecycle.
Understanding of DFM, DFA, prototyping, and testing standards.
Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering
15+ years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
Proven track record of leading complex product development programs in a global manufacturing or global engineering-focused environment.
Experience with International standards (ISO, ASME, CE, etc.) and cross-functional team collaboration.
Preferred industry background would be HVAC/Refrigeration/Power Electronics.
