The Director, Operations is responsible for the strategic leadership for HR services and Payroll operations, Statutory Activities, Payroll tax submissions & compliance, Budgeting, vendors and data. The Director will also ensure timeliness, efficiency and accuracy of HR services Payroll processing and associated deliverables. Director is responsible for ensuring that all policies and processes are harmonized efficiently and consistently being executed. Project Planning, Risk Management, Resource management & movement will also be the key objectives assigned. Director has to ensure that all duties in accordance with the company Health & Safety and Quality policy procedures are followed. There may be additional activities to perform from time to time in order, to maximize the contribution to the company\xe2\x80\x99s goals and objectives

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Leads, manages, hires, trains, develops and motivates a team of professionals
  • Develops and executes on \xe2\x80\x9cbest in class\xe2\x80\x9d strategy for efficiency, accuracy and compliance
  • Manages Client and internal relationships as it pertains to services delivered
  • Establishes and achieves department annual budget, strategies, goals and objectives
  • Designs standard operating procedures through adoption of industry best practice standards that comply with federal / state regulations and collective bargaining agreements
  • Leads program implementations that focus on continuous improvement to build timely, accurate, compliant, agile services that provide confidence and trust for our employees
Lead the strategy for growth and continuous improvement
  • Oversee Payroll, Ticketing, Exchange, HRIS, Time & Attendance system enhancements, improvements and efficiencies and support improvement projects in the Operation that require integration with other systems
  • Ensure that there is complete and accurate documentation for all processes, including a data dictionary, a catalog of system customizations and updated statements of work
  • Ensure that process documentation is complete and accurate and updated on an ongoing basis to reflect process improvements
Compliance
  • Ensures compliance with all state / local laws, federal regulations and collective bargaining agreements
  • Maintains SOX documentation and ensures compliance
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of changing laws and regulations
  • Leads education, training and communications for Operations
Collaboration
  • Develops collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure operations are compliant and meet business objectives
  • Works with and across the Departments and Partners to achieve the confidence and trust from our clients and employees
Innovation
  • Identifies and executes innovative ways to deliver holistic payroll operations
  • Identify opportunities to automate and initiate steps to achieve the same
  • Implement local and global automation initiatives and get to be successful
Key experience
  • Graduates Pref MBA
  • 12+ Years Supervisory/Management experience within a BPO provider.
  • PC Literacy - Word and Excel (Advanced Level)
  • Good operational knowledge of HR Services and payroll, and payroll systems or other transactional or analytical operations
  • Create base line documents for referencing for future projects/resources
  • Certifications: PMP / IPPM Diploma/ Six Sigma Certification would be an added advantage
