• Develop and articulate a forward-thinking data science and AI strategy aligned with Ferguson's business objectives.
• Collaborate with top management to define key objectives and metrics for data-driven initiatives.
• Identify and integrate emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance Ferguson's data capabilities.
• Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team of data scientists and AI professionals.
• Provide mentorship, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
• Set clear performance expectations, offering regular feedback and professional development opportunities.
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of data science and AI projects, from scoping to deployment and performance evaluation.
• Define project goals, timelines, and resource needs, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
• Proactively manage risks and challenges to drive timely and successful project completion.
• Drive the development and implementation of advanced analytics, machine learning models, and AI-driven solutions.
• Stay current with industry advancements, adopting new tools and methodologies to maintain Fergusons competitive edge.
• Promote culture of experimentation, encouraging innovative approaches to complex business problems.
• Head Ferguson's AI Center of Excellence (CoE), coordinating efforts across key departments, including Legal and Information Security.
• Partner with internal teams to find opportunities where AI can enhance business outcomes.
• Champion ethical and responsible AI practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Statistics, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong technical expertise in data analytics, machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI technologies.
• Proven success in managing data science teams and delivering impactful, large-scale projects.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience in industries like technology, e-commerce, finance, or distribution preferred.
• Proficiency in Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other data science tools.
• Familiarity with big data platforms, cloud computing, and data engineering concepts.
• Strategic thinker with a proven track record to innovate and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
