15 Petabyte of data hosted, 49 countries supported, 15000 servers and thousands of devices to connect locations and businesses. The role is responsible for ensuring that Enterprise Data Management guidelines, processes, capabilities, and controls are effectively implemented through the strategic programs\' scope of activity to drive the value of data into the programs. This person acts to drive a \'data lifecycle\' perspective through coordinating multi-functional and cross data domain decision making aligned with Enterprise standards. Your responsibilities include but not limited to : . Main responsibility of functional program management, process management and strategic data program integration within the Enterprise Data Management team and clear definition of data lifecycle processes and facilitate implementation of the data lifecycle through appropriate guidelines, playbooks creation . Responsible for education, training, guidance and adoption of data lifecycle processes, frameworks and controls across strategic programs in alignment with the enterprise and domain data strategies. Also ensuring data controls are adequately defined, communicated and implemented across all the domains through the implementation team . Escalation point for data lifecycle capability and process decisions, mediating the conflict of goals and interests to arrive at a decision which improves Novartis\' ability to use data as a strategic asset. Critical liaison between enterprise data team and the strategic programs in ensuring that the enterprise data management principles are embedded . Exercises clear and informed decision-making using processes transparent to partners for data related topics in scope of strategic programs, keeping in touch with every partner regularly. Facilitating meetings for the senior partners & teams (preparing, moderation and post processing). Holding retrospectives to refine approach. . Responsible for integration and alignment with enterprise business process excellence workstream to facilitate data management in driving business outcomes. Oversee that policies and processes related to data governance initiatives like data quality, access management, acceptable use etc. are communicated and enforced throughout the program . Partners with data lead(s) in strategic programs to drive the implementation of mature data management processes and capabilities aligned to Enterprise-level efforts. Key areas of focus include data modeling, master and reference data management, data cataloging, data quality management, and data publishing. . As an overall program manager within the EDM team, is responsible to ensure key activities of the function are on track, clear change and communication strategy is developed and a data community is created at the enterprise level and acts as data governance and data management domain expert for the strategic program and ensures implementation data controls, manages exceptions and issues Diversity & Inclusion / EEO Minimum Requirements What you\'ll bring to the role: . Masters in a quantitative field, Ph.D. highly preferred with 15+ years of relevant experience in Data Management & Data Strategy, with at least 2 years in Pharma/Healthcare working with Global teams with cross-industry experience highly preferred. . In-depth experience of data governance /information management practices, systems and processes including data governance, data modelling, master data management, meta-data management, data quality management . Strong Data modelling experience is desired with experience in ERP implementations in a large, multi-national environment . Ability to build strong and trusted relationships with senior level business and technical partners with strong business process skill, with focus on business processes enabled in ERP platforms . Workflow capability that operationalizes the data supply chain and data usage across the data ecosystem and the manner in which users/applications interact with system . Data Quality and profiling capability to help identify and govern condition of a set of values of qualitative or quantitative variables. . Understand data Ownership capability for applying quality control field to assessing, managing, using, improving, monitoring, maintaining, and protecting organizational information.
