The sector focus will be Consumer, Consumer technology, Retail and Agribusiness with service offerings such as Investment / Market Entry Solutions, Commercial/Operational Due Diligence, Revenue Enhancement Solutions. Some additional areas which are "nice to have" but not "must have" are - Supply Chain & Operations Improvement, and Digital Transformation.
Role Overview:
The Director will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact CFO services engagements, focusing on finance transformation, digital innovation, and operational excellence. This position requires a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), G&A cost optimization, and KPI development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving digital transformation in finance and reducing month-end closing timelines, coupled with exceptional communication and leadership skills
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Transformation & Digital Innovation:
Lead and manage digital transformation initiatives in finance, including automation and process optimization.
Implement advanced financial systems and tools to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
G&A Cost Optimization:
Identify and execute strategies to optimize General & Administrative (G&A) costs.
Develop frameworks for cost control and operational efficiency.
FP&A and KPI Development:
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes.
Design and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business performance.
Reduce month-end closing timelines through process improvements.
Strategic Advisory:
Provide strategic financial insights to clients, aligning financial strategies with business goals.
Support clients in navigating complex financial challenges and opportunities.
Client Engagement & Leadership:
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on client engagements.
Team Development:
Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Contribute to the growth and development of the CFO Services Practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of business strategy and financial operations.
Hands-on experience in FP&A, including KPI design and financial reporting.
Proven ability to manage digital transformation projects in finance.
Expertise in G&A cost optimization and operational efficiency.
Experience:
Industry Background:
10-12 years of experience, including serving as a CFO in a company with a turnover of ?200-300 crore or as a BU Controller in a large organization.
Consulting Background:
7-9 years of experience in finance consulting, with a focus on transformation and strategy.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal).
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in managing cross-functional initiatives and stakeholder relationships.
Familiarity with global compliance and regulatory frameworks.
A forward-thinking mindset with a focus on innovation and adaptability.
