Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Brand Communications Head to lead and execute innovative and impactful brand communications strategies, with a strong emphasis on social media and YouTube content. This role will require a visionary leader who can strategically shape our brands presence across social platforms and video content channels. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in digital storytelling, content creation, and building a brand narrative that resonates with audiences on social media, particularly on YouTube.

Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy and Positioning:
Develop and execute a comprehensive brand communications strategy, ensuring that social media and YouTube content are at the heart of brand engagement.
Define the brand's online voice and tone to ensure consistent messaging across all social media platforms and YouTube.
Drive the development and execution of campaigns that enhance the brands visibility and build a loyal community online.
Social Media & YouTube Strategy:
Lead the creation of engaging content for all key social media platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, Josh/Moj etc.) with a particular focus on YouTube.
Develop creative strategies for YouTube content, including video series, influencer collaborations, live streams, and ad campaigns to drive engagement and brand growth.
Oversee the content calendar for social media and YouTube, ensuring it aligns with key brand messaging and seasonal initiatives.
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that social media strategies are integrated with broader marketing campaigns.
Content Creation & Management:
Oversee the production of high-quality, engaging video content on YouTube and across social media platforms, ensuring it aligns with brand identity and resonates with target audiences.
Work with internal creative teams or external agencies to produce professional-grade content, from video shoots to editing, storytelling, and post-production.
Stay up to date with YouTube trends, algorithms, and best practices to ensure content is optimized for the platform.
Audience Engagement & Community Management:
Monitor and manage online conversations, comments, and interactions on social media and YouTube to foster a positive community and brand loyalty.
Develop strategies to engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and address any customer concerns across digital platforms.
Leverage social listening tools and analytics to track sentiment and consumer behavior, using insights to refine communication strategies.
Influencer & Partner Collaborations:
Identify and build relationships with influencers, content creators, and brand ambassadors to extend brand reach on social media and YouTube.
Develop and manage influencer campaigns to amplify brand messages, increase subscriber numbers, and drive engagement across platforms.
Analytics & Reporting:
Utilize analytics tools to measure the performance of brand communications and content on social media and YouTube, tracking key metrics such as engagement, reach, conversions, and sentiment.
Prepare detailed reports on the success of campaigns, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for future growth.
Regularly update senior leadership on the effectiveness of digital content strategies and brand communications efforts.
Brand Campaigns & Storytelling:
Oversee the development and execution of content-driven brand campaigns on YouTube and social media, ensuring they align with overarching brand objectives.
Create compelling narratives that connect emotionally with target audiences and drive action, leveraging video content as a key tool in brand storytelling.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, Digital Marketing, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in brand communications, digital marketing, or content creation, with a focus on social media and YouTube.
Proven experience in creating and managing successful social media and YouTube content strategies that drive engagement, audience growth, and brand awareness.
Demonstrated expertise in YouTube content creation, including video production, SEO, and analytics.
Experience working with social media platforms and digital marketing tools (e.g., Social Listening, Google Analytics, YouTube Analytics, etc.).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create compelling content that resonates with online audiences.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, algorithms, and best practices.
Expertise in video content creation, including storytelling, scripting, editing, and post-production.
Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable insights for improving content strategies and campaigns.
Creativity and a deep understanding of what makes content shareable and viral, particularly on YouTube.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Experience with paid social media and YouTube ad campaigns.
Knowledge of video production tools (e.g., Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, etc.)
