Responsibilities
Teach the fundamentals and advanced concepts of film direction and scriptwriting.
Guide students in story development, character design, screenplay structure, dialogues, scene writing, and narrative flow.
Conduct practical sessions on writing short scripts, ad concepts, storyboards, shot divisions, and production planning.
Train students in directing actors, blocking, staging, framing, and visual storytelling techniques.
Explain the complete filmmaking workflow--pre-production, production, and post-production.
Conduct mock shoots, table reads, group projects, and script discussions.
Support students in developing original scripts and directing short films or ad films.
Review student work and provide constructive feedback on writing, direction style, and overall project execution.
Prepare lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and ensure smooth delivery of sessions.
Stay updated with current film trends, screenwriting methods, and direction techniques.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of storytelling, screenplay writing, character arcs, genres, and narrative structures.
Expertise in visual direction, shot planning, actor communication, and set management.
Good understanding of cinematography basics to guide students in shot composition and continuity.
Ability to teach complex filmmaking concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
Prior teaching or training experience preferred, but skilled industry professionals with experience in direction and writing are encouraged to apply.
