Job description: Position reporting to Head of India & GBS and responsible for driving completion of strategic priorities for Teva India. The position will support India Leadership in strategic planning and will oversee project management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution -
  • Work with Head of India & GBS in identifying opportunities in the areas of promoting growth, leadership engagement, capability development, competitiveness, aligning to the One Teva approach
  • Work with Leadership to roll out strategic initiatives, transformations, projects and alliances ensuring these programs are well defined, well executed and constantly refined keeping the organization's long-term and short-term goals in mind.
  • Help lead cross functional initiatives critical to achieving business objectives.
  • Deliver on strategic agenda and key priorities, as aligned with TGO, R&D, Manufacturing and other critical functions. Play pivotal role in integrating the strategic agenda and interface effectively with the senior global leadership to drive the One Teva culture.
  • Develop and implement strategy review sessions. Capture any early signals for timely course correction.
  • Work with Leadership to define governance frameworks. Execute governance by driving meetings, collaborate with stakeholders and ensure effectiveness.
Short Description
  • Project & Portfolio management -
  • Define functional project work streams, performance parameters, roles, resources, communication and quality
  • Develop, promote and maintain standards and tools for portfolio and project management, with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope
  • Support Leaders in monitoring progress of strategic portfolio and project delivery milestones
  • Create cross functional linkages to derive synergies through the organisation thereby leading to cost and resource optimization
Long Description
  • Communication & Networking -
  • Network and establish robust relationships by partnering with various unit and function leaders in India and globally, leading the integration of the various business units into cohesive One Teva organisation. Drive key priorities and contribute to furthering the strategic goals of the locations through these key relationships.
  • Facilitate communication of the strategy, long term vision, and underlying business logic within and across regions, disciplines and group entities, and externally as appropriate
  • Engage with senior leaders and their team to pursue the country capability and enterprise value development opportunities.
  • Work with Leadership in managing risk and external industry / government interface.
  • Engage with external eco-system, including peer companies, Industry associations, institutions and government to progress on the strategic agenda
  • Align plans and strategic communications to strongly position the organisation among Industry partners.
  • Team Management -
  • Develop a high performing team, establish team priorities and nurture and motivate the team to achieve Organization and team goals.
  • As a Mentor and Coach partner with team members and colleagues in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Qualifications

Experience and Competencies
  • Degree in management from premier B schools. Minimum 15 years of proven strategic and operational experience in Strategy, business leadership and transformation.
  • Experience of Pharma business and financial issues, including the regulatory environment. Experience of having worked on critical projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Exposure to Automation and Digitalization projects preferred.
  • High emotional and relational intelligence to ensure building of strong and effective bridges with BU / functional leaders and teams, and leading the cross-functional transformation in the matrix.
  • Ability to interact and collaborate across hierarchies, should not be hierarchy driven
  • A people leader with exceptional team building and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated experience of managing global stakeholders in multicultural environment.
  • Has managed complex strategic projects with global stakeholders
  • Track record of successfully managing large scale transformations and integrations.
  • Excellent communication, networking, people management, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Strong relationships and influencing skills with senior leadership
  • Strategic and Analytical mindset. Has excellent analytical skills and makes evaluative judgements, based on an analysis of information.
