ROLE: QC cum Production Supervisor

LOCATION:

Vadodara, Gujarat

Job Summary:

The Diploma MECHANICAL Engineer -

QC cum Production Supervisor

is responsible for combines responsibilities for both quality control and production management. This position requires a diploma in mechanical engineering, strong skills in interpreting engineering drawings, reading GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), proficiency with precision measuring instruments like micrometers and vernier calipers, and a deep understanding of machining and inspection processes. The supervisor ensures production runs smoothly and efficiently while also maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and monitor daily production activities to ensure targets are achieved. Interpret

engineering drawings

and apply

GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance)

principles in inspection and manufacturing. Carry out

in-process, incoming, and final inspection

using precision instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, etc.). Ensure adherence to

machining process parameters

and maintain quality at every stage. Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to improve efficiency. Implement and monitor

quality control procedures, checklists, and inspection reports

. Train and guide operators/workers on proper machine handling, measurement, and quality standards. Coordinate with design, maintenance, and procurement teams to ensure uninterrupted production flow. Maintain proper documentation related to

quality assurance, deviations, and corrective actions

. Support

root cause analysis (RCA)

and implement

corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)

to eliminate recurring issues.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Diploma in

Mechanical Engineering

(or equivalent). Strong knowledge of

engineering drawings

and

GD&T

. Hands-on experience with

precision measuring instruments

. Understanding of

machining operations

(turning, milling, drilling, grinding, etc.). Knowledge of

ISO 9001 / quality management systems

is an added advantage. Good problem-solving, leadership, and team management skills. Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Experience:

2-5 years

of experience in a machine shop, manufacturing unit, or similar industry. Experience in

QC & production supervision

preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
