We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Diploma Engineer Trainee to join out EV vehicle assembly, sub-assembly and pre-production activities by executing standard operating procedures, ensuring product quality, and maintaining safe and efficient work practices under the guidance of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Sub-Assembly
Perform EV vehicle mechanical & electrical sub-assembly and final assembly as per SOPs. Install critical components like frame assemblies, suspension, wheels, powertrain parts, wiring harnesses & body panels.
Ensure precise fitment, torque tightening and alignment of all components Operate assembly equipment, pneumatic tools, hand tools & torque devices
Quality & Process Assurance
Conduct in-process checks and final assembly quality verification. Follow torque charts, poka-yoke methods, and standard work practices
Record defects and assist with root cause identification & corrective actions Maintain assembly and quality documentation, test records and part traceability
Equipment & Shop-Floor Management
Maintain workplace discipline & follow 5S practices. Ensure proper handling of EV components including battery packs and controllers
Support line balancing and productivity improvement initiatives
Safety & Compliance
Follow PPE usage and EV handling safety protocols. Ensure safe working practices while handling mechanical & electrical parts
Report unsafe conditions and support EHS initiatives
Skills & Competencies
Understanding of mechanical systems, electrical basics & EV components
Hands-on knowledge of tools, fixtures, measuring instruments & torque tools
Ability to read work instructions, torque charts & basic technical drawings
Strong observational skills and attention to detail
Good teamwork and communication skills
Eagerness to learn and adapt to modern EV manufacturing systems
