: Electrical Diploma Engineers

This job description outlines the role and responsibilities for a fresh or 2+ electrical diploma engineer at a reputable electrical infrastructure company in India.

Overview of the Role

You'll be a key part of the technical team, assisting senior engineers, gaining hands-on experience and a practical understanding of large-scale electrical infrastructure projects i.e., Distribution Lines, RDSS projects, Feeder Separation Projects, Substation Construction, Transmission Lines etc.. This is an entry-level position designed for continuous learning and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution and Site Support:

Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment like transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, and control panels at project sites. Interpret and work with electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts. Supervise on-site work to ensure it aligns with design specifications and quality standards. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and system statuses. Report any safety concerns or issues to the team lead immediately.

Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare and maintain technical reports on project progress, material usage, and test results. Assist in creating project documentation and commissioning reports.

Collaboration and Learning:

Work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and technicians to ensure project goals are met. Actively participate in training programs and workshops to enhance your technical skills and knowledge of new technologies.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Qualification:

Diploma in Electrical Engineering / ITI Electrical from a recognized institution.

Technical Skills:

Strong foundational knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including circuit theory, power systems, and electrical machines. Basic understanding of electrical drawings and CAD software. Familiarity with various electrical testing and measurement instruments.

Soft Skills:

Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a team. A keen eye for detail and a proactive, eager-to-learn attitude. Ability to work in various geographical locations as required by project needs.

Career Path & Salary

Freshers with an electrical diploma can expect a starting salary ranging from Rs.1.6 to Rs.2.10 lakhs per annum. With 2-5 years of experience, this can increase to Rs.2 to Rs.5 lakhs per annum. The role offers a clear path for advancement to positions like
