Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digitization & Automation Specialist with expertise in Lean Supply Chain Management to lead transformative initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop Industry 4.0 project blueprints and business cases, including gap analysis, feasibility studies, and Lean-based value stream mapping to identify non-value-added activities.
Design factory network architecture encompassing IT infrastructure, edge devices, PLCs, IIoT sensors, embedded systems, computer vision, MES, and IoT platforms.
Conduct proof-of-concept studies for digital manufacturing and supply chain optimization.
Implement vision-based hardware/software solutions for shopfloor quality control, integrating live data streaming to MES and cloud systems.
Deploy industrial robotic automation (Cobots, AMRs) for assembly and warehouse operations, enhancing material flow and reducing manual handling.
Design and implement smart warehousing systems using Pick-to-Light and other Lean replenishment techniques.
Connect shopfloor machines via IIoT to enable predictive maintenance and reduce downtime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop real-time dashboards for OEE, machine utilization, and predictive maintenance metrics..
Plan smart factory layouts using process simulation, BOM analysis, and robotic simulation to optimize flow and eliminate waste.
Develop Augmented Reality solutions for digitized work instructions, supporting error-proofing and standard work adherence.
Integrate machine data with MES systems for real-time monitoring of production, quality, and equipment health.
Engage with vendors to evaluate and implement cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technologies, managing RFPs and RFQs.
Lead integration teams to ensure hardware and software systems meet Lean and operational standards.
Integrate Scope 3 digital exposure capabilities by implementing systems to track and report indirect emissions across the supply chain.
Deliver end-to-end digital engineering and manufacturing projects in collaboration with SMEs and stakeholders.
Conduct workshops to identify Lean use cases and implement tailored Industry 4.0 solutions.
Manage project milestones, waterfall planning, CAPEX budgets, and executive reviews.
Perform site visits to identify process improvement opportunities and prepare detailed analysis reports.
Prepare comprehensive documentation including project plans, business and functional requirements, design specs, user manuals, and training guides.
Required Candidate Profile
Education/Training
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical), Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
Master's degree, Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Professional Experience
15+ years of proven experience in factory digitization, automation, and Lean supply chain transformation.
