Role : Digital Technology Lead - Japan

Level : T3

Location: Hyderabad

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for leading and establishing the Digital Technology functional leadership and strategic direction in Japan PN, and is accountable for supporting business objectives, overseeing IT project deployment, and managing IT operations and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Market Leadership Team member:

Be an active member of the Japan PN Leadership Team to play a pivotal role in shaping an organization\xe2\x80\x99s strategic direction, providing guidance, overseeing performance, and fostering a strong corporate culture. Be responsible for making critical decisions, driving growth, and ensuring effective governance.

Strategic Planning:

Develop and execute the digital strategy and its roadmap to support Japan business objectives, via understanding global digital technology strategy collaborating among Business Partnership and Core Services.

Budget Management:

Create, monitor, and manage the DT functional budget for Japan.

Be an active participant and contributor to all key financial planning processes especially OP and IVCP.

Provide financial oversight of DT project activities to meet annual financial target (AEP).

Project Management:

Monitor the progress of IT projects, assist the IT project manager and team to take necessary actions to meet the project KPIs (scope, schedule, and cost) and quality standards, and assess and mitigate risks.

Security and Compliance:

Ensure information security and compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements. Adopt the best practices in data protection.

Service Management (including IT infrastructure):

Manage relationships with Core Services and their partner vendors for both application and infrastructure operations to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and optimize costs.

Team Engagement:

Lead the market DT function team, supporting skill development and motivation. Provide effective leadership and coaching.

Technical Innovation:

Continuously track new technologies and trends, evaluation their applicability to the business and formulate adoption strategies.

Job Specifications/Qualifications

1. Education & Professional Qualification

Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is preferred.

2. Knowledge/Experience

Leadership experience in the IT function is essential, with a preference for over 5 years of practical experience.

Excellent global communication and negotiation, especially in English and interpersonal skills are crucial. Collaboration with other department stakeholders is essential.

The ability to formulate and execute and IT strategy aligned with business objectives is crucial.

Proficiency in effectively overseeing and driving multiple IT projects is required.

A deep understanding of information security and regulatory compliance is required.

Skills in budget formulation, effective management and maximizing cost efficiency within the IT function are expected.

Leadership skills to guide the market IT team, promote skill development and foster collaboration.

Good business process understanding on FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry is preferred.

Ability to work independently in a flexible and changing environment, manages multiple activities and priorities, and work well under pressure
