Department Name : Research Engineering
Department Description:

The Research Solutions SBU is focused on innovating the foundation of FactSet\xe2\x80\x99s product offering. By marrying robust content, intuitive applications, and innovative technology, we defend and grow our footprint across several key user classes including investment banking, sell-side research, buy-side research, private equity, portfolio managers, traders, capital markets, investor relations, and media. This SBU contains Core Applications (Universal Screening, Company & Security Analytics, Industry and Markets, Filings, Ownership, Research, News, Charting) and our industry leading RMS suite. The SBU closely partners with the Content and Platform Horizontals on strategy for FactSet Web, Mobile, and much of FactSet\xe2\x80\x99s content offering.

The Senior Engineer will work as a developer within the Research & Advisory SBU focusing on Research Integration Products. The Research Integrations team requires a Senior Engineer to join the team and help drive the development of functional enhancements to the Research Integration products and participate in the maintenance and support of the products. The Research Integrations team focuses on developing solutions that integrate FactSet components and data into 3rd party platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
Participate in the maintenance and support of the solution
Participate in agile development process and ceremonies
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Provide periodic project status updates to team
Mentor and coach other members of the team

Required Skills:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in web development
Experience with JavaScript-based MVC frameworks, such as AngularJS /VueJs/ ReactJS or similar framework is required
Experience with TypeScript required
Experience with Node.js required
Experience working with RESTful services and APIs
Experience leading technical teams
Experience working with remote & geographically diverse teams
Ability to articulate and quickly adopt development best practices
Ability to communicate & build strong relations with both technical and non-technical people
Experience using JIRA or other Agile development tools is preferred
Mobile development experience a plus
Experience with CRM, Salesforce development (Lightning Framework, Apex) a plus
Experience with CRM, Microsoft Dynamics 365 development a plus
