Position: Digital Mock-Up (DMU) Engineer (TT37ST RM 3793)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled DMU Engineer in Pune to join our product engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in digital mock-up validation, clash detection, kinematics simulation, and assembly feasibility analysis for automotive or aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Digital Mock-Up (DMU) analysis for vehicle/product assemblies


Conduct clash/interference detection and clearance analysis


Execute kinematics and swept volume analysis for moving parts


Validate assembly and disassembly sequences (serviceability analysis)


Perform space claim management and packaging studies


Generate DMU reports with clash status, clearance values, and recommendations


Collaborate with design teams to resolve identified issues


Support cross-functional reviews (Design, Manufacturing, Service)


Maintain DMU standards and best practices documentation


Track and manage clash resolution status using PLM tools

Education : B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or equivalent

Exp : 3-7 years in DMU/Packaging/Integration engineering

Tools : CATIA V5/V6 - DMU Kinematics, DMU Space Analysis, DMU Fitting

Skills : Clash detection, clearance analysis, swept volume, sectioning, TeamCenter, ENOVIA, Windchill (any one)

Preferred Skills

Experience with full vehicle DMU integration (BIW, Powertrain, Chassis, Interiors, Electricals)


Knowledge of automotive systems architecture


Exposure to EV/battery pack packaging studies


Familiarity with APQP process and design reviews


Experience in ergonomics/human factor analysis (RAMSIS/Jack)


Understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up impact on DMU


Scripting/automation knowledge (VBA, Python, EKL) is a plus


Good communication and presentation skills
