Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Manufacturing Digital Transformation

Assess current manufacturing processes, systems, and digital maturity of plants/MSMEs. Identify high-impact use cases for digital manufacturing (OEE, machine monitoring, predictive maintenance, quality analytics, energy management, traceability). Prepare digital transformation roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
2. Technology & Solution Design

Design and recommend Industry 4.0 solutions using

IoT, sensors, PLC/SCADA integration, MES, ERP integration, AI/ML, data analytics, and cloud platforms

. Define system architecture, data flows, dashboards, and KPIs. Support Proof of Concept (PoC), pilot, and scale-up deployments.
3. Implementation & Project Support

Work with system integrators, OEMs, and internal teams for solution deployment. Monitor implementation progress, validate outcomes, and ensure ROI realization. Troubleshoot operational and integration challenges during rollout.
4. Industry & MSME Engagement

Engage with MSMEs, plant leadership, and shop-floor teams to explain benefits and drive adoption. Conduct factory visits, diagnostic studies, and readiness assessments. Support government programs, industry bodies, and skill councils for smart manufacturing adoption.
5. Capability Building & Training

Design and deliver training programs on Digital Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 concepts. Mentor plant teams on data-driven decision making and continuous improvement. Develop case studies, best practices, and documentation.
6. Reporting & Documentation

Prepare assessment reports, PoC proposals, project reports, and presentations for stakeholders. Track KPIs, benefits achieved, and lessons learned.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's / Master's degree in

Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering

, or related field. Certification or formal training in

Industry 4.0 / Digital Manufacturing / Smart Factory

is preferred.
Experience

8-15 years

of experience in manufacturing operations, automation, or digital transformation. Hands-on exposure to shop-floor systems and industrial environments. Experience working with

MSMEs, large manufacturers, or consulting projects

.
Key Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of

manufacturing processes

(discrete / process industries). Practical knowledge of

IoT, MES, automation systems, data analytics

. Ability to translate business problems into digital solutions. Project management and stakeholder coordination skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Attributes

Experience in government-led programs (MSME, Industry 4.0 initiatives). Exposure to automotive, engineering, pharma, electronics, or similar sectors. Willingness to travel extensively for plant engagements
