Job Brief:

This role wiil be enhancing digital skills of people with low vision, thus promoting independence and employability. The role will also support ongoing advocacy efforts to raise awareness about low vision and its challenges. This role supports the delivery and quality of digital literacy training across partner organisations/ Parivartan Centres by reviwing the trainings, tailoring learning strategies, improving content, and introducing innovative teaching methods.

Roles and Responsibilities:



Digital Literacy Training & Awareness Workshops


Conduct Functional Vision Assessments to identify and differentiate between individuals with low vision and those with light perception.

Adapt training approaches based on the functional vision capabilities of trainees.

Develop and implement customized digital literacy training modules for individuals with low vision.

Deliver training sessions using assistive technologies in both one-on-one and group settings.

Assess trainees' digital literacy skills and create tailored training plans based on their needs and abilities.

Organize and conduct awareness workshops for stakeholders, including employers and educators, to promote inclusivity and understanding of low vision.

Collaborate with internal and external experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance for different audiences.

Assist in developing and delivering ToT programs for digital literacy instructors who will train individuals with low vision.

Provide ongoing mentorship and support to trainers to ensure high-quality training delivery.

Collaboration, Coordination & Reporting:


Work closely with the digital literacy training team to align training programs with organizational goals and specific project requirements.

Partner with various stakeholders, including NGOs and educational institutions, to enhance the reach and impact of training programs.

Contribute to the creation of resource materials and training documentation.

Track and document training progress, outcomes, and feedback from participants to ensure continuous improvement.

Report on the impact and success of training programs and workshops to the leadership team.



Required qualification:

Graduation/ Deploma



Required experience and skills:


1. Ability to facilitate sessions in an interesting way
2. Ability to observe sessions conducted by senior trainers and document the session
3. Reporting skill
4. Observe candidates and give constructive feedback
5. Knowledge of screen reader
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and with external partners.
7. Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive education practices.
8. Fluency in English and local languages is preferred.
9. Certification in disability studies or assistive technology training is an advantage.
10. 1-3+ years of experience as trainer.


Interest and Skills:


1. Good communicative English
2. Knowledge about different solutins/techniques for low vision
