Position Summary: Performs administration & application support on the projects that will develop professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard engineering techniques,proceduresand criteria. Exercises limited but increasing judgment in performing assigned tasks. Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.Performs digital delivery for application support on projects. Job Dimensions: A.Supervision Received Receives technical and administrative supervision fromSenior Engineer orEngineering Group Supervisor. B. Supervision Exercised - C. Contacts Maintains contact with the immediate work group or discipline and interfaces with other disciplines as specifically directed. Essential Job Responsibilities: Provides technical support to designers/engineers, interfaces directly with project and provides solutions to reported problems and to situations presented. Administration activities of S3D, CAD (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit) and Basic admin for SPI. Experience in EPC industry Has worked in the Energy, infra (Power) projects. Should have sound knowledge of Control Systems engineering and design. To provide S3D, CAD training to engineers in the running project team members. Report customization in S3D and CAD application. Must be capable of relating S3D to Control Systems scope and giving direction and guidance during the implementation on project. Should be familiar with best practices. Participate in technical workshops and training. Perform product certification assignments. Apply expertise as a S3D specialist and has a working knowledge of interrelationship of products. Should have sound knowledge of databases like Oracle, MS Access and SQL Server. Should have programming language knowledge like SQL, Visual Basic. To do the backend activities such as to retrieve the information from oracle tables, database login etc. To create the oracle views, functions, procedure, and triggers. Troubleshoot and bug fixing within S3D and SPI. To coordinate with application vendor for fixing bugs and other issues. To do the setup for integration of SPI to other applications like SP3D thru SPF (Smart Plant Foundation) for DDP (Dimensional Data for Piping). Should have the working knowledge of citrix environment. Should be able to adapt new things and should be flexible. Amenable to working in shift timing based on project schedule/requirements. Works with projects and Corporate EPC Functions, Engineering Function/Management to resolve technical and work process issues. Role will also include devising innovative approaches to problems encountered to provide solutions to the customer. Documentation and understand all integration points with external systems. Job Knowledge: Should have knowledge of administration activities of S3D, CAD (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit) and SPI. Experience in EPC industry. Should have sound knowledge of Control Systems E-engineering and Design and Work Process. Should have relevant experience in EPC industry. Knowledge of Integration applications like SPF (Smart Plant Foundation) is desirable. Should have sound knowledge of databases like Oracle, MS Access and SQL Server. Should have programming language knowledge like SQL, Visual Basic. Should have the working knowledge of citrix environment. Knowledge of Revit will be an added advantage. Basic Qualification: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Controls and Instrumentation/Electronics/Computer Eng.) from a four-year accredited college or university and 5+ years' experience or in lieu of degree, 8+ years of progressive experience in relevant industry. Candidates with the following will also be considered: Specialized courses in Automation. Work Experience in similar capacity with thorough understanding of the job. Requires 5-10 years of experience implementing, administrating, and supporting S3D, CAD application and SPI. Prior consulting experience implementing S3D, CAD and SPI and supporting installation, configuration and customization is preferred. Requires relevant experience with the background of Controls and Instrumentation engineering in Energy, Power, and related industries.
