The Dietitian is responsible for assessing patients nutritional needs, developing personalized diet plans, and providing guidance on healthy eating habits to support treatment, recovery, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Assess patients' dietary requirements through evaluation and medical history review.
Develop individualized nutrition plans based on medical conditions and nutritional goals.
Provide counseling on diet, lifestyle modifications, and therapeutic nutrition.
Monitor patient progress and adjust diet plans as required.
Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
Educate patients, families, and staff on nutrition-related topics.
Maintain accurate documentation and update patient dietary records.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, food safety, and quality standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics.
Registered Dietitian or eligible certification preferred.
Experience in clinical nutrition is an added advantage.
Strong communication and counseling skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
