Develop
individualized diet plans
based on medical conditions, physician's orders, and patient needs.
Counsel patients and caregivers on
therapeutic diets
(e.g., diabetic, renal, cardiac, liver disease, oncology, pediatric, ICU diets).
Monitor and evaluate patient diet compliance and progress, updating plans as required.
Participate in
multidisciplinary team meetings
and provide dietary input for comprehensive patient care.
Document all nutrition assessments, care plans, and follow-ups in patient medical records as per NABH documentation standards.
Food Service & Quality Control
Supervise preparation, portioning, and serving of food to ensure
nutritional adequacy, safety, and hygiene
.
Ensure that food is prepared according to
physician-prescribed diets
and delivered to the right patient.
Conduct regular
kitchen audits
for cleanliness, food safety, and infection control practices.
Implement and monitor
standard recipes
and portion sizes for consistency.
Coordinate with the Dietary Manager/Catering staff for menu planning and special diets.
NABH & Compliance
Maintain documentation as required by NABH:
Diet sheets, meal distribution records, and patient feedback logs.
Food safety audits and corrective actions.
Patient counseling records.
