Key Responsibilities:

Perform

diagnosis, repair, and maintenance

of diesel engines used in heavy equipment such as: Transit Mixers Wheel Loaders / Shovels Stationary Pumps Boom Pumps Trucks & Trailers Troubleshoot and repair engine failures, hydraulic issues, transmission problems, and electrical faults. Conduct routine preventive maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and system checks. Inspect machinery, identify worn-out components, and replace or repair parts as required. Overhaul engines, fuel pumps, injectors, and cooling systems when necessary. Perform brake system repairs, suspension adjustments, and steering alignment on heavy vehicles. Use diagnostic tools to identify faults and ensure repairs are done to manufacturer standards. Maintain accurate maintenance records, job cards, and daily servicing logs. Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and workshop safety procedures. Coordinate with supervisors and operators to schedule maintenance without affecting operations.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of

diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems

. Ability to read mechanical drawings, service manuals, and parts catalogues. Skilled in using diagnostic devices and mechanical tools. Strong troubleshooting abilities for heavy machinery and vehicles. Good understanding of safety regulations and workshop practices. Ability to work independently and handle emergency breakdowns.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic in

ready-mix, construction, or heavy equipment environment

. Experience working on equipment brands like

Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu, Doosan, MAN, Mercedes, Iveco

, etc. Technical diploma or certificate in Diesel Mechanics / Automobile Engineering. Physically fit and able to work in outdoor/harsh weather environments. Ability to work long shifts, overtime, and respond quickly to breakdowns. Basic English communication skills preferred.
