Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our shipbuilding team in Kochi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhauling of diesel engines and associated mechanical systems used in marine vessels and shipyard equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines used in ships, boats, and shipyard machinery. Conduct routine maintenance checks and preventive maintenance on marine diesel engines and auxiliary equipment. Troubleshoot engine problems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals. Overhaul and rebuild diesel engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems. Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and equipment specifications. Maintain detailed service records, job cards, and documentation for each task. Collaborate with marine engineers, supervisors, and other team members for smooth project execution. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations during repair and maintenance. Participate in dry-docking and ship repair projects as required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

ITI / Diploma in Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in a shipyard or marine environment. Sound knowledge of marine diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Familiarity with shipbuilding tools, safety standards, and classification society requirements. Ability to work independently and in a team under tight deadlines. Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces and onboard vessels.

Pay: ?18,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
