Job Title: Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Vehicles

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic with expertise in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy vehicles and equipment including

JCB machines, loaders, cranes, and Hiwa trucks

. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components, ensuring maximum equipment uptime and safe operation.

Key Responsibilities:Maintenance & Repair

Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and mechanical repairs on heavy vehicles such as JCB, loader, crane, and Hiwa. Diagnose engine problems (diesel engines), hydraulic issues, and electrical faults using tools and diagnostic equipment. Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engine components, gearboxes, brakes, clutches, and suspension systems. Conduct welding, fabrication, and minor body repairs when needed. Ensure proper functioning of hydraulic pumps, control valves, cylinders, and hoses.

Inspection & Troubleshooting

Conduct regular inspections to detect malfunctions, leaks, or worn-out parts. Troubleshoot breakdowns on-site and in the workshop, providing quick and efficient solutions. Identify root causes of mechanical failures and recommend corrective actions.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts replaced. Report major issues and spare parts requirements to the supervisor or workshop manager.

Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety protocols and workshop procedures. Ensure compliance with company standards, equipment manuals, and operational guidelines. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications & Skills:Education & Experience

ITI / Diploma / Certificate in Diesel Mechanic or Automobile Engineering. 2-5+ years of experience working with heavy vehicles (JCB, loader, crane, Hiwa preferred). Hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and heavy machinery components. Ability to read and understand technical manuals, diagrams, and repair instructions. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, mechanical tools, and workshop equipment.

Soft Skills

Problem-solving and analytical abilities. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency breakdown situations.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy components and work in challenging field conditions. Comfortable working in noisy, dusty, and outdoor environments when required.
