Key Responsibilities:

Mold Installation and Removal:

Install and remove molds for various molding machines. Ensure proper setup of molds, ensuring alignment and fit for smooth production runs.

Mold Maintenance and Repairs:

Perform regular maintenance on molds, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspections. Troubleshoot and repair molds and die components to minimize downtime.

Mold Adjustments:

Make necessary adjustments to molds for quality control and production efficiency. Ensure molds are set up to achieve the required specifications, tolerances, and finishes.

Machine and Equipment Support:

Assist in the operation and optimization of molding machines by ensuring molds are properly integrated. Work with production teams to resolve any mold-related issues that could impact production timelines.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain records of mold maintenance, repairs, and any issues encountered during the molding process. Report mold issues to the appropriate supervisor or department head.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines. Adhere to all safety protocols while working with molds and machines.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for improving mold processes and reducing downtime. Provide feedback on mold design improvements or potential problems.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification in mechanical or manufacturing engineering is a plus.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Die Fitter, Mold Technician, or in a similar role in manufacturing, preferably in molding or die casting environments.

Skills:

Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mold design and maintenance. Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machinery to install and maintain molds. Familiarity with injection molding and die-casting machines. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
