Position:

Zonal Head - Kolkata

Purpose of the job:


Enquiry management through funnel process

Increase the order booking rate from funnel management

Growth and revenue management for defined zone

To be responsible for and effectively control operations in the Zone office in coordination with Head Office / Zonal office and accomplish the targeted sales and profits.

To accomplish profitability through revenue generation from high-value machines & tooled machines.

To explore the market for new products.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:


Ensure that all sales enquiries in the funnel get appropriate attention as per the stage of maturity

Handle (almost) all customer interactions over a phone call with the same level of effectiveness as observed in physical visits.

Encourage customers to purchase products/services they may otherwise have purchased elsewhere

Ensure On-field support of the field sales team for all face-to-face interactions with the customers

A greater proportion of time will be spent on the telephone with existing customers, prosecuting sales enquiries

Responsible for all the enquiries in your zone (including new products). Also, ensure all actions (including those of field sales) required on enquiries for making progress in the funnel would be assessed and scheduled.

Responsible for assessing the need for field sales visits on existing enquiries in the funnel; and scheduling the same for the field sales as per the need of the funnel.

Hold a daily one-on-one with each Field Salesperson, reviewing executed tasks for the day and guiding them through the next day's planned tasks.

Monitor field sales schedule adherence and tasks feedback to take actions for arresting any issues compromising funnel reach or enquiry flow through the funnel

Validating the product/services offered by competition for an enquiry vis-a-vis the criteria established by the business for any price reduction request to the Sales Supervisor/NSM

Ensure Coaching & training field sales on prosecuting enquiries and outbound selling. Work on identifying the skills gaps vis-a-vis skills matrix of the field sales; developing training schedule plans for closing those gaps and feedback mechanism for evaluating the same.

Every new market offer should be role-played with the team, so people get the feel of it, know the product/service they are selling, and are comfortable overcoming objections.

Participate in daily one-to-one meetings with Reporting head and Management to discuss all the late-stage and stagnant enquiries, field sales performance and any issues/support required for prosecuting sales enquiries.

To explore the market, contact potential customers to generate sales orders and convert such orders directly from customers and those received from Head office into business.

To assist in the machine selection, accessories selection so as to facilitate the customers buy machines that suit their requirements most.

Achieve Sales revenues from the high-value machines and tooled-up machines as per the target.

Participate in exhibitions to promote our products to generate enquires and convert Sales orders.

Completely handle all administration and account work pertaining to South Zone

To arrange to regularly obtain the market feedback to facilitate the maintenance of necessary databases for various analyses.

To develop a strategy to increase OEM and Tier-1 business

Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.

* To develop, build and lead a team of engineers to cover the complete zone
