We are looking for an experienced Diamond Merchandiser who can manage product planning, assortment selection, trend analysis, and vendor coordination for our diamond jewellery category. The ideal candidate should have strong merchandising skills, deep knowledge of diamonds, and hands-on experience in the jewellery industry.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage the diamond jewellery product range based on market trends and customer preferences.
Work closely with design, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to develop new collections.
Analyse market trends, competitor products, pricing, and customer insights to drive assortment decisions.
Monitor inventory levels, stock turns, and category performance to optimise product availability.
Coordinate with vendors for sourcing, sampling, and production timelines.
Conduct quality checks, ensuring diamond specifications (4Cs) and product standards are met.
Create detailed product briefs, costing sheets, and launch plans for new collections.
Collaborate with marketing teams for promotions, campaigns, and product positioning.
Track sales performance and recommend actions for price, design, or assortment changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in diamond jewellery merchandising.
Strong understanding of diamonds, 4Cs, grading, certifications, and jewellery manufacturing.
Good analytical skills and experience in sales & trend analysis.
Ability to manage multiple vendors and production schedules.
Strong communication, negotiation, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, merchandising tools, and reporting.
Preferred
Experience with international markets (US/UK) is a plus.
GIA certification or jewellery design/merchandising course preferred.
