Prepare dialysis machines and consumables before each session.
Perform hemodialysis procedures under the supervision of a Nephrologist / Dialysis Nurse.
Ensure correct dialyzer, blood lines, and settings as prescribed.
Patient Care & Monitoring
Prepare patients for dialysis and explain the procedure.
Monitor vital signs before, during, and after dialysis.
Observe patients for complications such as hypotension, cramps, or reactions and report immediately.
Machine Operation & Maintenance
Operate and monitor dialysis machines safely.
Perform priming, rinsing, and termination of dialysis procedures.
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of dialysis equipment.
Infection Control & Safety
Follow strict infection control practices and universal precautions.
Ensure proper disinfection and sterilization of dialysis machines and area.
Adhere to protocols for Hepatitis B, C, and HIV-positive patients.
Water Treatment & RO Plant Monitoring
Monitor RO plant parameters and water quality for dialysis.
Maintain records of water testing, chemical disinfection, and logbooks.
Report any abnormalities in water quality immediately.
Documentation & Records
Maintain accurate dialysis records, machine logs, and patient charts.
Document consumables used and report stock requirements.
Ensure compliance with NABH and statutory documentation.
Inventory & Consumables Management
Ensure availability of dialysis consumables and emergency drugs.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages or expiry issues.
Emergency Handling
Assist in managing dialysis-related emergencies.
Be familiar with crash cart equipment and emergency protocols.
Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with nephrologists, nurses, and biomedical engineers.
Communicate patient status and treatment progress to the healthcare team.
Training & Continuous Improvement
Participate in training programs, audits, and quality improvement activities.
Stay updated with dialysis protocols, machine upgrades, and safety standards.
Professional Conduct
Maintain patient dignity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
Follow hospital policies, SOPs, and duty rosters.
