The Diagnostic Imaging Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the diagnostic imaging department, including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-ray, BMD, 2D Echo, ECG and EMG services. The role involves planning, organizing, and managing departmental activities to ensure high-quality imaging services and optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
Plan, organize, and manage daily operations of the diagnostic imaging department.
Ensure efficient utilization of resources and adherence to departmental protocols.
Monitor and evaluate departmental performance and implement improvements as needed.
Organize staffing schedules to meet the needs of the Diagnostic imaging services
Responsible for managing the appointment scheduling for the different consultants.
Works on process and system enhancement to ensure the least possible patients' waiting time and the smoothest possible patients' access to service.
Monitor key performance indicators and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Resolve complex patient inquiries or issues, and reporting to the management.
Patient Care
Ensure patients receive high-quality imaging services in a timely and compassionate manner.
Address patient concerns and ensure a positive patient experience.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.
Analyse patient feedback, coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to address operational issues and implement improvements.
Reviews continuously patients' comments and feedback and accordingly rectifies root causes of repeated patients' comments and complaints.
Be proactive in reviewing the current service, making recommendations and implementing changes to continuously improve the patient experience.
Policy and Procedure Development
Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
Staff Management
Responsible for recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of Diagnostic clerical staff, while identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
Miscellaneous
Other jobs may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
Qualifications:
Post-graduate in hospital management.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare operations, preferably in an outpatient setting.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Familiarity with healthcare quality improvement initiatives.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
