Your role-

In order to further develop and improve the Specialty Rental Division we are looking for diagnostics engineer.

The Rental Division is connecting its global Rental Fleet to improve safety, reliability & productivity of customers who depend on its rental solutions.

You will join an existing team of remote diagnostics experts at the Global Diagnostic Center, where you will need to align your technical expertise with Industry 4.0 and data-driven services.

As a diagnostics engineer, your mission is to empower rental centres to maintain the highest level of reliability so we can deliver on our 24/7 machine uptime promise. Atlas Copco is capturing information about the technical condition of its rental fleet installed at customers\' sites. Combining the IoT data with your understanding of the equipment allows you to remotely detect problems and advise on actions for technicians close to the customer.

You shall be remotely studying machine behaviour and delivering the right insights to our technical colleagues around the world.

Roles

• Monitoring of machines behaviour based on Remote Machine Data with objective of improving safety, reliability & productivity of customers.
• You provide remote technical support to avoid machine downtime at the customer site.
• As a diagnostic engineer, you combine technical expertise with IoT information and deliver insights to colleagues worldwide.
• You provide input to the development of data algorithms so that, in the future, certain issues can be detected sooner or more accurately.
• You will seek feedback to improve your competence level.

Next to the daily diagnostic tasks, you will be in close contact with the technical and engineering teams at Rental Division. As such, you are not only a user of the system, but we also expect your valuable input on further operation - process improvements.

To succeed, you will need-

Experience requirements

Bachelor of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of field experience in troubleshooting and servicing of diesel engine-driven equipment.

Knowledge

• Should have strong maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair knowledge of diesel engine-driven equipment.
• Technical knowledge of the Atlas Copco equipment range is a plus.
• The major focus will be on screw compressors (oil-free and oil-injected), but experience with dryers (refrigerant, adsorption), generators, and other Atlas Copco equipment is, of course, a plus!
• You are punctual with processes and numbers. You feel comfortable working on data collecting and analysing trend graphs, combining info from different sources to come to a sound conclusion.
• You are fluent in English both written and spoken so you can communicate your insights and follow up with your colleagues all over the world.
