to manage the technical and creative flow of our feature film through the Digital Intermediate process. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in managing color, resolution, and versioning to prepare the final feature for theatrical and home-video distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Conform and Prep:
Ingest and conform the locked picture cut, matching it precisely to the original camera negative/source media (OCN). Manage and troubleshoot EDLs, XMLs, and project metadata to ensure a perfect conform.
Color Pipeline Management:
Prepare the timeline for the Colorist, ensuring all assets are at the correct resolution and aspect ratio (e.g., 2K, 4K, 6K). Manage versioning for HDR, SDR, and theatrical grading passes.
VFX Integration:
Integrate final Visual Effects (VFX) shots and plates into the master timeline, ensuring correct frame counts, color space, and resolution.
Delivery & Mastering:
Execute quality control (QC) checks and create final masters (e.g., DCP, IMF) based on studio and distribution specifications.
Archiving:
Oversee the final digital archive of the project, including the OCN, final timeline, and all masters.
Collaboration:
Work directly with the Colorist, Post Production Supervisor, and Technical Director to ensure technical perfection and maintain the creative integrity of the picture lock.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency
in Adobe premiere pro/After Effects and Adobe photoshop.
Experience:
Professional experience as a DI Editor, Conform Editor, or Finishing Editor on feature films.
